MEDITATIONS AND MYSTICISM

Oct 26 & 27, 2024

Celebrate the healing power of music in collaboration with Ghetto Therapy

Take a moment, take a breath, take time, take care.

These words closed our upcoming concert series, Meditations and Mysticism, on October 26 and 27, 2024 a program that invited us to find our center and reflect on the wonder that surrounds us.

Medieval mystic Hildegard of Bingen’s chant drew us into this space. Britten’s beloved bestiary composition, Rejoice in the Lamb, celebrated the majesty of all creatures great and small. Philip Glass’s modern minimalism, in the final scene of Einstein on the Beach, delights in the magic of love.

And together we joined in a sonic meditation, a moment where choir and audience came together to create and enjoy harmony.

This concert was presented in partnership with award-winning mental health program, Ghetto Therapy™️, which offers free therapy sessions open to the public for all age groups. Therapy sessions include a healthy dinner, facilitated discussions by guest speakers and exposure to different forms of therapy including Reiki, sound, art, meditation, and yoga.
