Jake Sonnenberg

Jake is a versatile vocalist who has been sharing music throughout Greater Cleveland since 2008. He holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music and is currently a member of Aeterna Chamber Choir, Vox Salvatoris, and grateful to be a new member of Cleveland Chamber Choir! He regularly appears as both a chorister and soloist at Fairmount Presbyterian Church, Trinity Episcopal Cathedral and Temple Emanu-El.

Jake’s performance experience includes appearances with The Cleveland Opera, Cleveland Opera Theater, Strongsville Community Theater, The Musical Theater Project, American Musical Productions, and numerous churches throughout Northeast Ohio. He has a particular affection for Schubert lieder and the way its combination of poetry and music invites both performer and listener into an intimate emotional world.

For the past few years, Jake has been blessed to be a full-time father to his daughter, Mckenna, while continuing to freelance as a singer around Cleveland. When he is not working as an accountant or performing, he coaches his son Benny’s baseball team and loves spending time with his wife, Kate, and their children.
