A Night at the Cabaret

Please join us on Thursday, August 21 at 7:00pm at the BOP STOP for “A Night at the Cabaret,” a one-night only benefit performance, where Cleveland Chamber Choir singers showcase songs from musical theater, the American Songbook and more, with artistic director Gregory Ristow at the piano.

This evening will raise funds for the choir as it enters its second decade. Enjoy raffle baskets from area businesses and organizations, food and drink available for purchase, and try your luck with a 50/50 raffle! Vigil: Rachmaninoff’s Vespers

A  journey of light and hope, pairing Sergei Rachmaninoff’s All-Night Vigil with Reena Esmail’s A Winter Breviary. Combining the spiritual traditions of Indian Carnatic raags and canonical prayers, the concert will offer in the words of poet Rebecca Gaye Howell “a constancy that marks a life by the well-loved day; they both act as a kind of clock for the soul.”

Love in Bloom

Celebrate love and nature during these concerts showcasing choral music such as Britten’s Flower Songs, Takemitsu’s Cherry Blossom, Lauridsen’s Chansons des Roses, and Whitacre’s Five Hebrew Love Songs. Local high school choirs will join the performance, as part of the choir’s continuing commitment to education and providing invaluable experiences to future generations of musicians.
