Get to know the individuals behind the scenes who are instrumental in championing our mission of musical excellence and community engagement.

Peter Anderson
PRESIDENT (INTERIM)
Peter Anderson is Executive Director of Enterprise Infrastructure Services in ITS at Cuyahoga Community College. Peter learned piano through the Suzuki method, then transitioned to trumpet, starting with a family cornet. With both parents as professional music educators and performers, Peter was exposed to classical and contemporary music alike from birth. Growing up in the original headquarters of the Lexington Chamber Chorale, Peter understands the power of community and music. After finishing a degree in Religious Studies from the College of Wooster, he moved to Cleveland to work in technology. Peter has worked in IT for over twenty-five years, and speaks publicly about technology.

Bob Horan
VICE PRESIDENT (INTERIM)
Bob Horan fell in love with the Cleveland Chamber Choir shortly after moving to Cleveland and looks forward to working with the Board. He is Professor Emeritus in the Department of English and Philosophy at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. A folklorist, Bob has served on grant review panels for the Wisconsin Arts Board. Though he is only asked to sing at birthday parties, Bob does play saxophone with The Italian Band of Cleveland and the Shaker Heights Community Band.

Lee Scantlebury
TREASURER
Lee Scantlebury has performed with various choral ensembles over the past fifty years. He sang with the Cleveland Chamber Choir for their first eight years. He also sings with The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus, and serves as Vice-Chair of the Operating Committee. In the past, he has performed with the Erie Philharmonic Chorus, the Penn State choir, and was an active singer and soloist in high school. Lee has enjoyed a long career in Information Technology, serving in management for more than twenty years. Recently retired, he was an IT System Analyst Consultant at Progressive Insurance, providing analysis, insight, and guidance in establishing new IT systems at Progressive. During his management career, he was responsible for multiple teams and managers, and typically managed multi-million dollar budgets for his departments and projects.

Lori Anderson
Lori Anderson is a Digital Marketing Director at Cleveland Clinic, specializing in project management and administration. She is a 4th generation Clevelander, whose music education started by attending The Cleveland Orchestra concerts at Severance Hall early in her youth followed by piano lessons, high school orchestra percussion and choir in college. Lori earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy from Baldwin-Wallace College and her Master of Arts degree in Philosophy and Bioethics from Cleveland State University. Prior to her career at Cleveland Clinic, Lori was an adjunct faculty member for almost a decade at Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C), having taught courses in philosophy and her personal favorite, humanities. Exposing others to the arts in Cleveland continues to be one of her passions.

Scott Markov
Scott Markov is a Key Account Manager at Nagase Specialty Materials, a hybrid supplier and distributor of functional ingredients for a variety of markets. Focused in NSM’s Life & Health Care division, Scott builds key relationships at brand-name manufacturers such as Mary Kay, Procter & Gamble, Unilever, and Amway. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish, Scott has had the opportunity to work in a variety of roles throughout his career, including chemical distribution and global accounts management, as well as technical marketing, research and development, and environmental lab operations. Scott’s love of music began quite early, as both parents were musicians. Dad passed down not only his trumpet, but also his love of jazz, balanced by mom’s devotion to the viola, as well as her classical and opera leanings. Not surprisingly, Scott has a keen interest in both jazz and classical music, and has participated in various choruses over the years, including The Cleveland Orchestra Chorus as a bass-baritone for 25 years.

Kira Seaton
Kira Seaton is a frequent singer, music director, church musician, composer and conductor in Northeast Ohio. She has performed or conducted choirs in Italy, Canada, and at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, the National Cathedral and the United Nations Headquarters, and has sung for Presidents Clinton, Bush and Obama in visits to Cuyahoga Community College. She is a former member of the world-acclaimed Cleveland Chamber Choir, and has also sung with The Cleveland Orchestra, Cleveland Opera, and performed in a number of musical venues in the Eastern United States. As a musical theater director, Professor Seaton staged children’s opera productions which were performed for over 10,000 schoolchildren over the course of a decade, and was founding director for the popular Theater Performing Arts Camps at Tri-C for over 20 years. She has taught Music Theory, Voice, Choir, Music History and Piano at the Western Campus of Cuyahoga Community College since 1987.

Amy Lynn Teleron, M.D.
Amy Lynn Teleron, M.D. is an Internal Medicine Physician and Academic Hospitalist, a physician that leads the plan of care for patients admitted to the hospital and teaches the next generation of physicians. She is also Deputy Medical Director in Medical Operations for the Cleveland Clinic Enterprise, where she leads projects to optimize healthcare processes to improve each patient’s journey while being treated in the hospital. Dr. Amy grew up in a home full of music – her mother was a child concert pianist in the Philippines; her brother discovered his gift of synesthesia (where he sees notes in color) as a child through jazz piano and now performs as an electronic music DJ at music festivals as a hobby. Dr. Amy fostered her appreciation and love for music starting at an early age playing classical piano and volunteer singing in choral groups. She joined the Cleveland Chamber Choir Board of Directors in 2022, inspired to share and spread the beauty of choral music.

Peter Vanden Broeck
Peter Vanden Broeck is a Registered Investment Advisor and Sr. Portfolio Mangager for Carnegie Investment Counsel in Pepper Pike, Ohio. Peter earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Macalester College in 1983 and has worked in the financial services industry since 1985. A devoted follower of the Warren Buffett approach to investing, Peter has been managing client assets since 1993. While not an active member of the Cleveland Chamber Choir, Peter’s inspiration to join the board sprung from his daughter Lauren who is an active singer in the ensemble. Lauren earned her Master’s degree in Vocal Performance from the Peabody Conservatory and as of January 2023, is now giving vocal lessons at the College of Wooster as an Associate Professor. Peter and his wife Sabrina moved to Cleveland in 1998 and are avid supporters of The Cleveland Orchestra and the Cleveland Chamber Choir.

Melissa Vandergriff
Melissa Vandergriff co-founded the Cleveland Chamber Choir in 2015. She served as President of the Board for 11 years, from 2015-2026. She is currently Director of Continuous Improvement at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, previously serving for six years as Director of Operations and Continuous Improvement at Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital. Before joining the Cleveland Clinic, Melissa spent 10 years in process improvement and project management in the IT and healthcare industries. She received her MBA from Case Western Reserve University, holds a Master of Arts in sociology from Lancaster University, and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
