What we’re up to this summer!
Cleveland Chamber Choir is playing it cool this summer.
Our singers show off their sultry side August 21st with A Night at the Cabaret. Next week we look back to the cooler days of May, when WCLV broadcasts our I Believe! concert with BlueWater Chamber Orchestra. And, on this Christmas in July we share two videos from our December Little Match Girl Passion concert.
A Night at the Cabaret🎙️
Please join us on Thursday, August 21 at 7:00pm at the BOP STOP for a special one-night only benefit performance, when Cleveland Chamber Choir singers showcase songs from musical theater, the American Songbook and more, with artistic director Gregory Ristow at the piano.
This evening will raise funds for the choir as it enters its second decade. Tickets start at $30 online or at the door, with premium options available online for reserved seating and other great benefits. Questions? Feel free to get in touch with our Donor Relations Coordinator, Connor Prusha at connor@clevelandchamberchoir.org.
Christmas in July ❄️
In the midst of a hot summer, when better to look back to our December Little Match Girl Passion concert? From Peter Feher’s glowing review: “Under the artistic direction of Gregory Ristow, the Cleveland Chamber Choir gave a sensitive performance attuned to every shift in storytelling, allowing the ingenuity of Lang’s setting to shine through.”
Enjoy an excerpt from our performance of “Veni Emmanuel” arranged by Zoltán Kodály and “The truth sent from above” arranged by Ralph Vaughan Williams & Owain Park.
Thanks to all of you who donated to support our performances and the work of the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless. Together, we helped their mission of eliminating the root causes of homelessness.
The concerts were presented with generous grants from The Aaron Copland Fund and The Amphion Foundation, as well as full season grant support provided by the Ohio Arts Council, and The George Gund Foundation, season underwriting from KeyBank, and support given by Trinity Cathedral Cleveland as named Artists in Residence.

On Wednesday, July 30 at 8:00pm, catch a re-broadcast of our May 2025 performance of Margaret Bond’s Credo and W.A. Mozart’s Great Mass in C Minor, with BlueWater Chamber Orchestra. Listen on your radio at 90.3 FM, online, or through the mobile NPR app. The program is here.
From Peter Feher’s review: “The concert paired Margaret Bonds’ Credo and Mozart’s “Great” Mass in C in a righteous demonstration of belief that swelled to fill the magnificent space of Trinity.”
