
Robert Pierce
BASS
Robert Pierce is a Cleveland-based journeyman of the arts, specializing in the performance and production of opera and musical theater. He has performed many featured roles with local companies, such as Opera Western Reserve, Cleveland Opera Theater, Beck Center for the Arts, Lakeland Civic Theater, Nightingale Opera Theater, and Blank Canvas Theater. Some favorite productions include Tosca, La Bohème, Street Scene, The Pirates of Penzance, The Little Mermaid, Billy Elliot, Violet, and Jerry Springer: The Opera. Behind the scenes, Robert is a prolific stage manager among local opera companies and music schools, most notably working on world premiere productions at Baldwin Wallace Conservatory and Oberlin Conservatory. He has also enjoyed traveling to manage productions with Kentucky Opera, Lyric Opera of Orange County (California), and Hawaii Performing Arts Festival. A graduate of Otterbein University and Cleveland Institute of Music, Robert also previously spent a decade directing and performing operatic programming for young audiences as Educational Outreach Director for Opera Western Reserve.
